On the morning of April 8, the Lu’an Health and Elderly Care Service Center of Yijiayi Medical and Elderly Care Group officially commenced operations. The project is positioned as a benchmark integrated medical and elderly care institution in East China. Its launch marks an important step for Lu’an in strengthening its elderly care service system and advancing the integrated development of medical and elderly care services.
It is reported that the Yijiayi Medical and Elderly Care Group Lu’an Health and Elderly Care Service Center covers an area of approximately 60 mu, with a total floor area of 42,000 square meters, and is designed to provide 600 elderly care and nursing beds.
The project is staffed with a “one lead, six specialists” service team, led by a floor manager (or attending physician), integrating six types of professionals—physicians, nurses, rehabilitation therapists, nutritionists, psychological counselors, and social workers—to deliver multidisciplinary, coordinated care for residents. It adopts a “four-specialized” service standard—specialized services, dedicated staff, scheduled time, and focused care—to ensure standardized procedures, adequate staffing, well-organized schedules, and attentive service.
The center also includes an in-house medical facility (planned capacity of 300 beds, with 99 currently in operation) to provide healthcare services. In addition, it has established collaboration mechanisms with surrounding medical institutions, forming a tiered care system in which minor illnesses are treated on-site, chronic conditions are managed without transfer, and serious cases have access to fast referral channels.
As China’s population continues to age at an accelerating pace, the integration of medical and elderly care has become a key direction in the development of the elderly care service system. As an important regional center city in Anhui Province, Lu’an has in recent years continuously expanded the supply of elderly care services.
The establishment of the Yijiayi Medical and Elderly Care Group’s Lu’an project provides a new high-quality option for elderly care services not only in Lu’an, but also across the western Anhui region.
