On December 12, at the outpatient department of Lu’an People’s Hospital, an expert team from Shanghai First People’s Hospital provided free medical consultations and health counseling to local residents.
On the same day, Shanghai First People’s Hospital organized a multidisciplinary team of specialists—covering gastrointestinal tumor surgery, colorectal surgery, gynecologic oncology, urology, oncology, and gastroenterology—to carry out a free medical outreach under the theme “Caring for the Health of People in the Revolutionary Base Areas” at Lu’an People’s Hospital. The team offered disease consultations, health education, on-site diagnosis and treatment services, and tailored treatment plans for patients with complicated or difficult conditions.
It is reported that since the start of the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Lu’an has leveraged deepened regional cooperation to connect with high-level medical institutions in resource-rich cities such as Beijing and Shanghai. By building a convenient platform for “seeing renowned doctors close to home,” the city has enabled residents of the old revolutionary base areas to access high-quality medical services right in their own communities.
