Recently, the Highway Administration Division of the Municipal Transportation Bureau has made comprehensive efforts and adopted multiple measures to improve the road environment, fully enhancing the quality of highways and providing the public with safer, more convenient, and more comfortable travel conditions.
Dedicated to Green Maintenance
A greening enhancement campaign has been carried out along 783.139 kilometers of general national and provincial trunk highways. Roadside landscaping improvements have been incorporated into regular maintenance projects, with strengthened upkeep of green belts and slopes to maintain vegetation coverage and prevent soil erosion. Efforts are also being made to integrate roadways with surrounding landscapes and improve the aesthetic design on both sides of the highway, aiming to create scenic routes with local characteristics and promote the integrated development of transportation and tourism.
Focused on Safety
Adhering to the principle of prioritizing refined and preventive maintenance, routine inspections and rectification efforts are organized for key areas such as roadbeds, drainage facilities, bridges and culverts, and high slopes. Damaged roadside safety facilities—such as guardrails and isolation fences—are promptly repaired, and debris on roadways is swiftly cleared, ensuring that national and provincial highways within the jurisdiction maintain a high technical condition index.
Committed to Service
With the flood season approaching, emergency supplies have been pre-stocked, with storage sites strategically arranged. Emergency response teams have been actively organized, and regular road condition updates are being issued. To date, the city has assembled 41 teams with 758 personnel, 91 excavators, 105 loaders, 2,455 tons of sand and gravel, and 34,400 woven bags. Joint operations and rapid response mechanisms for accidents have been strengthened, effectively contributing to the construction of "smooth, safe, comfortable, and beautiful" transportation routes.
