Our city has placed strong emphasis on developing specialty industries and enhancing the value of local agricultural products. In 2024, the total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery reached 54.35 billion yuan. A total of 39 demonstration bases for the production, processing, and supply of green agricultural products in the Yangtze River Delta were successfully established, accounting for 8.7% of the provincial total and ranking third in the province.
Strengthening Large-Scale Production Bases
Efforts were made to promote the centralized transfer of land and appropriately scaled operations, driving the transformation of specialty industries toward greater scale, standardization, and industrial clustering. A total of 94,000 mu of low-yield tea gardens were newly upgraded, bringing the city’s total tea cultivation area to 800,000 mu. Additionally, 1,000 mu of new Dendrobium officinale (Huoshan stone orchid) planting area was added, with the total area reaching 20,400 mu.
Advancing Platform and Carrier Development
Infrastructure support within agricultural parks has been further enhanced. The city successfully established three national-level demonstration parks: a Modern Agricultural Industrial Park, an Agricultural Science and Technology Demonstration Park, and a Rural Industry Integration Development Demonstration Park. The green food processing industry parks in Shucheng County and Huoshan County were ranked among the top 20 parks in the province.
Strengthening the Cultivation of Leading Enterprises
Based on comprehensive strength and operational performance, enterprises were provided with classified guidance, tiered cultivation, and key support to help them expand and scale up. The number of provincial-level leading enterprises in agricultural industrialization has grown to 102, with 6 enterprises now recognized at the national level. The number of large-scale agricultural product processing enterprises has increased to 494, ranking first in the province.
