Our City's Foreign Trade Imports and Exports Exceed 10 Billion Yuan Again in 2023

In 2023, the total import and export value of our city's foreign trade exceeded 10 billion yuan again, reaching 10.31 billion yuan, a growth of 2.1% over the same period in 2022. Among them, exports were 9.13 billion yuan, a decrease of 2.9%, while imports were 1.18 billion yuan, an increase of 69.4%.

It is reported that our city is dominated by general trade, with imports and exports totaling 9.93 billion yuan, an increase of 2%, accounting for 96.3% of the total import and export value. Private enterprises are the main body of foreign trade, with imports and exports totaling 9.88 billion yuan, an increase of 3.2%, accounting for 95.8% of the total, and are the main driving force behind the rapid growth of our city's foreign trade. The United States is our city's largest trading partner, with imports and exports totaling 2.46 billion yuan, an increase of 19%, accounting for 23.8% of the total. ASEAN member countries and the European Union followed closely, with imports and exports totaling 1.6 billion yuan to ASEAN, a decrease of 22%, and imports and exports totaling 1.56 billion yuan to the European Union, a decrease of 1.8%. In terms of product structure, imported goods are mainly agricultural products and primary plastics. Imports of agricultural products amounted to 650 million yuan, an increase of 152.3%, while imports of primary plastics amounted to 170 million yuan, an increase of 725.4%.
