In the period from January to November 2023, the actual utilization of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the city's development zones amounted to 23.28 million US dollars, accounting for 99.52% of the total FDI in the city.

Harnessing the power of exhibitions: Leveraging platforms such as the World Manufacturing Convention, China International Fair for Trade in Services, "Invest in Anhui" Huizhou Roundtable Conference, and the Consumer Expo, proactive efforts were made to conduct publicity, promotion, and attraction activities. During the Consumer Expo in Haikou and the World Manufacturing Convention, three foreign investment projects were successfully signed, with CR New Energy project already investing 5.02 million US dollars.

Facilitating factor convergence: Strengthening industrial guidance and agglomeration in the development zones, efforts were made to enhance the attractiveness of attracting industries by strengthening the attraction of leading, extending, complementing, and strengthening industrial chains. Various factors were promoted to converge in the development zones, with policies favoring the development zones, effectively improving the quality and efficiency of attracting foreign investment enterprises. Nineteen new foreign-funded enterprises were established in the development zones, accounting for 86.36% of the total in the city.

Promoting cultivation and upgrading: Conducting guidance work for the planned upgrade of national-level development zones, efforts were made to improve the quality and efficiency of development zones in Shucheng and Huoshan, focusing on transforming various development zones into new highlands for utilizing foreign investment and high-quality growth poles. Shucheng County and Huoshan County saw the establishment of a total of six new foreign-funded enterprises, a year-on-year increase of 300%, accounting for 27% of the total in the city.
