In 121 BC, Emperor Han Wu make Liu Qing the king of Lu'an, Lu'an is resulted name from the mean of "six areas are peace, and they will never rebel". According to legend, in the ancient time, Yu canonized Gao Yao's descent in Lu'an, as a result, Lu'an  is also known as the "city of Gao." In the long river of history, there are many events having important impacts happened here ,including Kaolie Emperor of Chu relocated the capital city in Shouchun,  the War of Feishui, Lixia Festival uprising, the LuHuo uprising, the army of LiuDeng entered Dabie Mountain and so on . Lu'an is so rich in tourism resources that today we can enjoy the national forest park - Tiantangzhai, well protected national historical and cultural cities - Shouxian, the state's key units to be protected - AnFengTang, and many provincial-level scenic spots - Wanfo Lake, Wanfo Mountain, Hengpaitou Reservoir, Nanyue Mountain, Bagong Mountain, Dahua Mountain, Tongluo Village, Pishihang Irrigation Project which is world-famous for getting five main reservoirs into one, and the provincial and national level key protected units of 326 revolutionary sites and historic sites. All of these tourism resources make Wanxi a mysterious and romantic picture......
